Ward Melville's field hockey team earnred a trip to the finals and a deciding game with Smithown East, the only team to blemish their record this year.In their game againt West Babylon, they came out firing and quickley ran up a 4-0 score before coasting for the rest of the first half and giving up two goals to West Babylon. The Patriots had not given up more than a single goal in any game to date this year.
Abby Beltrani, seen in the first photo, scored twice and had one assist. In the photo, she is about to stroke her second goal of the game early in the second half.
